Mother’s Helper & Doula-In-Training
Overview
Milestone Doulas is seeking a dependable, organized, and caring individual to provide personal support to a busy doula and family. The emphasis of this role would be similar to a “mother’s helper” or household manager for the CEO, with room to evolve —through mentorship and training— into a client-facing doula support role within Milestone Doulas, if desired.
Ideal Candidate

Creative problem solver; resourceful and adaptable
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and maintaining calm in a busy household
Experience and comfortability with administrative duties preferred
Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance
Open to flexible scheduling and occasional on-call support when the doula attends births
Schedule & Compensation
10–15 hours per week to start, with flexibility and opportunity for growth
Some regular weekly hours, with occasional “on-call” availability preferred
Pay range: $18-25/hour depending on experience and scope of support
Responsibilities (Initial Focus)
Support keep household systems running smoothly — help with light housekeeping like laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming and tidying
Tidy and organize home spaces such as kids’ rooms, toys, and common areas. Someone with excellent organization skills and experience is highly desired.
Manage light home projects as needed (home organization, seasonal rotations, garage sales, etc.)
Support family scheduling — help coordinate family schedules and home services like housekeeping, pest control, etc.
Help supervise kids (ages 7 & 10) during school breaks and occasional weekends; flexible to take on additional childcare support as needed
Provide occasional transportation for kids to and from school or activities (valid driver’s license and insurance required)
Encourage and support kids in completing chores and daily routines
Run local errands and grocery pick-ups as needed
Assist with meal prep or simple family cooking tasks
Dog-friendly — help with playing, feeding, walking, and occasional dog baths for two lab-mixes
Flexible to assist with greatest daily needs to support smooth household operations, and help in the development of systems for smooth functions over time
Professional Doula Growth Pathway
After a foundational 3–6 months of home and personal support, there may be opportunities to:
Support Milestone Doulas in an administrative capacity, maintaining records, schedules, and resources as needed
Shadow or assist with educational events, classes, or client visits
Receive training and mentorship in birth, postpartum and Declutter Doula™ support
Transition into a dual role providing both family and client support under Milestone Doulas
Pursue certification or structured skill-building with guidance and financial support
This pathway is optional, but ideal for someone deeply passionate about family care, birthwork, or child development, and interested in growing their impact and reach.
