“We built the weekend we wish we’d had.”
Our parenting journey began (as a surprise!) over ten years ago. Four very different pregnancies and births later, we’ve learned that the way you prepare matters. It shapes everything from the decisions you make in the birth room to how you show up for each other in the exhausting newborn haze.
In our work with families, we’ve seen it again and again: couples pour time and love into the nursery, the registry and the shower, yet feel lost and overwhelmed when it comes to labor, postpartum recovery and newborn care. Most simply haven’t taken the time to slow down and prepare together. We created Embrace to give couples that time, to bring them closer and make room for the conversations that matter most before baby arrives.
We look forward to knowing you! - Sarah & John
What families remember most.
“Sarah provided us with valuable information, went over our birth plan and helped us go into birth confident and without fear. … I felt supported throughout the whole experience.”
“Her presence gave both me and my husband a sense of comfort and stability when we needed it most. … She made sure my husband felt involved and supported, answering his questions and helping him understand how best to support me.”
“She was kind, patient, understanding, and of course, helpful. … Our only regret was not finding her earlier in the pregnancy/postpartum process.”
Most couples spend more time and money planning the nursery and baby shower than they do preparing for labor and the first six weeks home.
So much of what we buy for baby gets outgrown, set aside or never opened. What stays with you always is your birth experience. Research shows that quality childbirth education reduces fear, builds confidence and leaves families feeling more satisfied with how their birth unfolded.

What is the investment?
Embrace enrollment begins at $3,850 per couple, and rates vary by location. A $250 deposit* reserves your place, and the full balance is due 30 days before the retreat. Pay in full, or choose a payment plan, including options through PayPal and Klarna. For cancellation details, see “What happens if we can’t make it?” below.
Family and friends can help, too. Many couples add a babymoon fund to their baby registry so loved ones can contribute toward the weekend. It’s a meaningful gift that lasts well beyond the shower.
*If you decide on your welcome call that Embrace isn’t the right fit, we’ll refund your deposit in full. Once you confirm your enrollment, the deposit is non-refundable.

When will we get the agenda and retreat address?
Your final agenda and the retreat’s full address are shared by email about two weeks before the retreat begins.
I don’t have a partner, or mine can’t come. Can I still reserve?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to attend solo, though we warmly encourage you to bring your best friend, your mom, your doula, or any other great support person in your life.
What kind of education can I expect?
Our approach is personal, practical and evidence-based. We share balanced information, never a single opinion presented as the only right way, so you can cut through the noise, trust your own instincts and make decisions with confidence. We’re not here to tell you how to give birth or how to parent. Partners are part of every session, not observers, and leave with concrete ways to support you through birth and the early weeks.
Content shifts slightly from retreat to retreat based on the needs of the group, but common topics include pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, labor comfort techniques, the physiology of birth, newborn and new-parent care, partner involvement and support, and self- and partner-led advocacy in medical settings. We’ll explore a range of birth settings and options, from spontaneous home birth to planned induction to emergency cesarean to help you name your preferences and communicate them confidently to your care team.
How do I invite my partner?
Easy: send them a note! Copy ours, add your own spin, and share it with a link to this page. (Bonus points if it arrives with snacks.)
Hey [Partner],
I found something for us. It’s called Embrace: a long weekend away with a few other couples in the same boat, with a cozy room of our own, great food and real time to slow down together.
The best part? We’d come home ready for the big day and the weeks after: what to expect in labor, how to work as a team, and a plan for life with our new little one.
Our last getaway as two, and a head start on being three. Want to look at it together this week? Spots are limited!
Love, [Your name]
Do you accommodate dietary needs?
Yes. We ask about food sensitivities, allergies and preferences, including common pregnancy aversions, on your intake form, and every meal is planned with that in mind.
Where can I find your policies?
After your welcome call, you’ll receive and sign our participant agreement. It covers all participant policies and expectations.
